ISLAMABAD — August 3rd, 2026: Karandaaz Pakistan has entered into a partnership with Kissan Gudam, a venture of the Hajisons Group, providing funding and strategic support designed to strengthen Pakistan’s farming communities and modernise the agricultural ecosystem. The partnership brings together Kissan Gudam’s technology-driven storage and agricultural solutions with Karandaaz Pakistan’s expertise and support in advancing digital financial services, creating new opportunities for farmers to preserve the value of their produce, access formal financing, and participate more effectively in agricultural markets.

The partnership will further strengthen Kissan Gudam’s Electronic Warehouse Receipt (EWR)-based financing model, enabling stored agricultural commodities to serve as reliable collateral for formal financing. By digitally connecting storage infrastructure, inventory verification, and financial services, Kissan Gudam aims to make access to credit faster, transparent, and more accessible for farmers who have traditionally faced challenges in securing formal agricultural finance.

Through the use of hermetic storage solutions from GrainPro, farmers can securely store their crops while protecting them from moisture, pests, fungus, and quality deterioration. Unlike conventional storage infrastructure, hermetic cocoons offer a portable and cost-effective solution that can be deployed closer to farming communities, helping farmers reduce post-harvest losses and retain greater control over when and how they sell their produce.

Commenting on the partnership, Kissan Gudam CEO Farhan Tahir said: “Our vision at Kissan Gudam is to ensure that farmers do not lose the value of their hard work simply because they lack access to proper storage or timely financing. This partnership with Karandaaz Pakistan will help us take our integrated storage and digital financing model to more farming communities, enabling farmers to preserve their produce, unlock its value, and make better decisions about when and where to sell.” Anam Tahir, CTO of Kissan Gudam, highlighted the role of technology in the company’s approach, stating: “We are building an ecosystem where physical agricultural assets and digital financial services work together seamlessly. platform’s digital wallet is linked directly to the warehouse infrastructure, enabling stored produce to be reliably verified and used as collateral – unlocking collateral-backed financing disbursed in minutes instead of the weeks it traditionally took.”

The partnership with Karandaaz Pakistan will support Kissan Gudam in expanding this model across rural Pakistan, with a particular focus on improving access to modern storage and digital financial services for smallholder farmers. Commenting on the partnership, Karandaaz Pakistan CEO Waqas ul Hasan said: “Pakistan’s agricultural economy requires more than access to credit for completeness; it requires the infrastructure and market linkages that allow finance to work effectively. Through this partnership, we are supporting a model that can localize storage close to farmers who need it and create an ecosystem which allows them to avail of higher returns on their produce whilst at the same time enabling the public sector to exit out from commodity markets without compromising national food security. It can have a transformational effect.”

The signing ceremony was attended by Tom A. Peter, Economic Officer at the U.S. Embassy Islamabad who called the partnership a strong example of US–Pakistan collaboration in agriculture – with US based GrainPro’s hermetic storage technology driving measurable impact for smallholder farmers and Pakistan’s formal agricultural economy.

Through this collaboration, Kissan Gudam and Karandaaz Pakistan are taking a step toward building a more digitally connected, financially inclusive, and resilient agricultural ecosystem in Pakistan.
